Product Details:

The GE IS420YDIAS1B is a Discrete Contact I/O Module part of the Mark VIeS Series, integral to GE’s Distributed Control Systems. It acts as an electrical interface between 1–2 I/O Ethernet networks and discrete input terminal boards, featuring a shared processor board and a dedicated discrete input acquisition board.

Supporting up to 24 contact inputs and terminal board feedback signals, it operates across three voltage levels, with inputs routed via a DC-37 pin connector. Equipped with dual RJ-45 Ethernet ports for communication and a 3-pin power input, it delivers reliable discrete signal handling for industrial control applications.

Key Features:
Discrete Signal Handling: Accepts 24 contact inputs with opto-coupler isolation from control logic, ensuring safe signal transmission.

Signal Conditioning: Integrates second-stage conditioning with variable threshold comparators, filtering, and hysteresis for stable input processing.

Diagnostics & Monitoring: Each input has a yellow status LED; includes under-voltage detection and periodic self-tests to check opto-coupler responsiveness, with faults annunciated to the control system.

Electrical Protection: Input filter rejects 125V DC AC voltage; threshold clamped to 13% to avoid indeterminate states if wetting voltage drops to zero, enhancing reliability.

Durability & Availability: Surface-mount technology, operates in -40 to 70°C; compact size, in-stock with 3–5 day repair turnaround. U.S.-made, supported by manual GEH-6855.

Connectivity: Dual Ethernet ports for network integration and a DC-37 pin connector for direct terminal board signal input, facilitating seamless system integration.
